Number and size of kimono (for men)

The height is about 160 ~ 185cm We prepare up to a circumference of about 110 cm. In the case of more than that, understand that the length becomes shorter and that the ankle can be seen.

※ The kimono is different from the clothes, can be adjusted to some extent by dressing, etc.

We prepare dark blue series colors, green series, gray series, serious black colors.

We prepare kimono for child. Please let us know the hight of child when you make a reservation.

Size of socks(tabi) and sandals(zori)

Tabi(Japanese socks)…Women/21～26cm, Men/about 30cm

Zori…Women/~25.5cm, Men/28cm ※It is natural if your feet are a little bit bigger than Zori.

Types of kimono

Kimonos we rent as Kimono rental plan is made of polyester. These kimonos are informal and casual so it’s appropriate for shopping or lunch with friends.

When you go place like hotel dining,restaurant or theatre, we recommend you to choose “Premium plan”.

For attending wedding party, Coming-of-age ceremony and graduation party, please have a look at the link (http://www.formal.yumeyakata.com/). We also have domestic delivery service.

Can I bring my own yukata to get dressed?

Yes, You can bring your kimono and we will dress you.

Please bring Yukata・Obi・inner wear（long slip is okay)・Datejime(thin fabric belt)・Obiita・2 strings・Japanese sandals・bag・Bra for kimono(if you have)

※We don’t rent out just accesorries, sandals and Sash(Obi).

How long does it take to get dressed?

Choosing a kimono…20mins　Dressing…20mins　Hairstyling…20mins(do make-up in the same time…30mins)　Studio photography(Option)…10mins

From arrival to departure, it takes you about 1 hour~

These are estimated time. You may have to wait when it’s crowded.

Do I need to bring anything?

【Rent Kimono】Because the necessities are all included in the set, you don’t have to bring anything by yourself.

【Purchase Yukata】

Please bring inner or slip which can hide your hip. If you have 5-6 face towels and Obiita(stiffening board), we can dress you more beautifully. You can purchase here if you want. We highly recommend to wear inner because it absorbs sweat and prevents your yukata from having a loose and untidy appearance.

Can I leave my luggage?

You can leave your suitcase during your trip. It‘s only 550yen! only for now!

luggage items can be stored by 17:30pm. (from 50cmx40cm)

Can I get dress at early morning?

Yes, we can accept reservations outside of our business hours, but there will be an extra charge. Please note, however, that for appontments before 9:00 the price will no longer be discounted. Also the price of hairstyling will be usual price before 9:00.
※Even if you are late, we wll charge for early morning fee. Pleaes let us know untill 5:00pm one day before you come if you want to cancell or change your reservation time.

Can I reserve a specific piece of kimono?

Yes, you can make a reservation for a specific piece up to a month in advance of your appointed date. In the case of a kimono reservation, 1,100 yen are charged separately for booking fees. However, the kimono you choose will still be rentable before your reserved date. Therefore, if an accident occurs such as damaged or lost we cannot have the reserved kimono for you when you arrive. In that case, we wil refund this reservation fee. Please understand that you can’t change your kimono after you make a reservation.

※Yukata plan is an exception.
※On the day you rental, you can change your kimono but please note that we won’t refund reservation fee.
The kimonos on website are small part of all. We have more kimonos in store.

We suggest that you choose on the day because we have various kimono in here! Please have a look first 🙂

The different types of Kimono that are published on the site are only part of our collection. As we have a lot of patterns and color, we recommend you choose what you are looking for after putting it in front of the mirror, after arriving at the store the same day.
It is unfortunately not possible to prepare your desired kimono. thank you for your understanding

Can I add hairstyling service on the day?

The hairstyling option is on a reservation basis. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance. It is a highly popular option, and there is also a limit to the number of people that can be accepted. If there are vacancies upon your arrival, it is possible to add such option, but making a reservation in advance is more certain.

If you add on the day price will be 2200yen.

Could you fix my hair after I returned?

Unfortunately we cannot, however if you are in need of assistance we can attempt for a 1,100 yen charge. A reservation is required. The last order is by 16：30. Please understand that your hair will be styled by hair spray, so it cannot be restored perfectly.

Do you have hairstyling service for men?

Unfortunately, we don’t provide hairstyling option for men.

Can I wear a kimono during pregnancy?

We are not offering kimono experience to expectant mothers consider their conditions. However、if you strongly wish to kimono experience, it is possible to do under your responsibility. In the instance that an expectant mother chooses to hire a kimono, our store will not be held liable for any potential outcomes. Expectant mothers will be asked to sign an agreement.

Can I change to another kimono after I got dressed?

Unfortunately, basically you can’t change. However if you stlongly wish to, you can. Extra fee will be charged.

If I come at the evening, are there still many choices?

Don’t worry! We prepare more than 300 pieces of kimono all the time. The number of choice won’t be changed by arrival time.

Can I bring own accessories for kimono?

I’m sorry but you can’t bring your accessories(neckpiece,strings,sash band etc). We prepare these accessories as option.
You can bring your zori if you strongly want but please take care of it by yourself.
We shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage.

How I cancel a reservation?

Please contact us at least one day before your reservation, it won’t cost any cancellation charge ※Only in Kimono rental. However, if you book outside of our business hour, cancellation fee will be charged. Thank you for your understandig.

What if I damaged the rental kimono?

【Smear】If it’s the ordinary smear like food or soil stain, it doesn’t cost any cleaning charge. But if the smear is an unwashable stain (ex: oily paint) will be charged.

【Damage】An irreparable damage (ex: cigarette burns, a damage/hole beside of the sewed parts), it will cost you 5,500 yen for compensation. Clean the smell from perfume or others will cost 5,500 yen. But if it’s a silk Kimono (SIZUKA set), then it will cost 11,000yen.

【Lost】If you damage or lost accesorries, you will be charged.（Lost : Shawl 550yen、Band of Haori 550yen、accessory 220yen、Zori 1100yen etc…）

【Attention】Cigarette burns is an irreparable damage which need compensation.

Can I wear perfume?

No, you cannot. It is because if the fragrance gets into the kimono, we will need to remove it that the cost incurred should be paid by the customer (about 5,000 yen)

What if it’s raining?

If it is not a heavy rain then it’s still fine to go outside. Kimono is made of washable fabric. ※Except “SIZUKA” set and Premium plan. If it’s a stormy day or there’s an unpredictable situation such as typhoon, then we can accept you cancel your reservation on that day. ※You don’t need to pay for compensation in this situation.

Could you come to my hotel or home to help getting dressed?

Yes, we can. The price will no longer be discounted. Please infom us in advance.

What if I forgot something in the store?

About your lost belongings, Yumeyakata will keep it for 2 weeks. But if it’s over 2 weeks, then we need to discard of it.

Please understand it. ※Fresh food, underwear and socks will be discard at the next day.

Is there any parking?

Sorry. we don’t have parking lot. Please park your car on metered parking around the store. ≫Search a parking lot.
