Nishi Honganji Temple, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary as a World Heritage Site and the 800th anniversary of its founding, is organizing a popular night event for the first time in collaboration with the experiential art group NAKED, INC.

Not only local residents but also visitors to Kyoto will be able to enjoy this event ☺.

This special exhibition will feature illuminations and digital artworks such as colorful “NAKED Distance Lanterns®” and a tour of the National Treasures Mikage Hall and Hiyunikaku.

About Kimono Rental

Kimono
A wide variety of kimonos is available, including classical, cute, and elegant floral patterns, as well as lace kimonos, allowing you to freely pair them with your favorite obi belt.
Obi Belt
Basically hanhaba-obi belt with ribbon at the back, or +1100yen change to Otaiko-Obi Belt.
Additional Essential Accessories
Tabi (Japanese socks), Zori (Japanese sandals), a small Japanese-style pouch, and all necessary underslips are included.

For those thinking, “I won’t be able to return my kimono in time because it’s a night event,” don’t worry!
Yumeyakata offers next-day kimono return and Return by post services.
*For same-day returns, the kimono must be returned by 5:30 p.m.

Return on the next day

Please come to the Gojo Shop between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the day following your visit. There is a charge of 550 yen if you book between 9 a.m. and 11:59 a.m., but it’s free of charge for bookings between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Return by post

It’s very easy to return the kimono to us via mail service from your hotel (if necessary) or at a convenience store on the day of your visit or by the next day! The fee is 1,430 yen if you book between 9 a.m. and 11:59 a.m., and 880 yen for bookings between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
