京都着物レンタル夢館
By the order of the Retired-Emperor Gomizunoo (後水尾上皇) in the mid-seventeenth century, Shugakuin Rikyu (修学院離宮, Shugakuin Imperial Villa) was constructed at the foot of Mt. Hiei (比叡山). In the vast premises with steep elevation difference, three villas, such as the lower, the middle and the upper villas, are located.
With the back ground of Mt. Hiei, rows of Japanese pine trees, sophisticated tea ceremony houses in the pastoral landscape, visitors will learn the esthetic sense and the strong aspiration for beauty of the late emperor.
Especially, the view from Rinuntei (隣雲亭) located at the highest peak of the whole garden, is excellent. The beautiful contrast of Yokuryuchi (浴龍池, the pond of dragon) and the tinted maple leaves is must to see.
