京都着物レンタル夢館
In the Ohmiya (大宮) campus of Ryukoku University (龍谷大学), there is a construction listed as Japanese national important cultural properties.
As you enter the gate which is also a national important cultural property, you will see a retro building in front. Completed in 1879, the building was built by Japanese carpenters who learned Western construction method only by taking a deep look at other Western constructions. What an excellent work!
The building is an wooden architecture with stone panels attached. Its gorgeous columns with stone panels make the building look absolutely like a construction of reinforced concrete, but in fact, it’s not.
YUMEYAKATA Kimono will perfectly match this retrospective scenery. Visitors cannot go inside and are allowed to take a look from the outside.
